Born in Bayonne in the Basque Country, Xabi Molia graduated in literature and has since shared his talent between writing (in 2014, he is the author of **** novels, two collections of poems and a scenario for a comic strip) and cinema. As a director, he has to this day made one short, two fiction features (8 fois debout (2009) and Les conquérants (2013)) and a documentary ('Le terrain', 2014). The two feature films he directed, although exploring the a priori off-putting theme of failure, reveal an engaging offbeat personality.
